What a wonderful four days celebrating The Queen's lifetime of service. While as a nation we saw images such as these....

in Stoke Lacy we had our own celebrations thanks to the generosity of the Parish Council and many kind volunteers. As luck would have it we chose the sunniest day for our afternoon of games, sports, music, dancing and, of course, cake! It was such a great day, not least because it was the first time we had got together as a village since the first Covid lockdown in March 2020. So good to be a real community again and so lovely to meet people who are new to the village.

The Platinum Pudding competition was judged by Simon from The Plough who had the terrible time of trying all those delicious entries. Many looked on enviously ! Ellie Wise in the Under 16s and Zoe Harper in the adults. Congratulations to both.

The Make-your-own-crown competition attracted many entries with Lyla Woodyatt winning the Under 16s and our own Tina Lifely winning in the adults section. What a parade!

Below are several hundred photos of Stoke Lacy residents having a bit of a laugh. Let's hope it's not too long until we find another reason to celebrate.
