Stoke Lacy Heritage

What a wonderfully mellow way to round off a busy, exciting and fun-packed day. As stallholders began to pack away our visitors were entertained to a great night of swing, jazz and boogie-woogie from the charming ladies and gents of Almeley's Springfield swing band. Despite all the obstacles we put in their way (moving the audience indoors with no time to move the drumkit first, turning off the electricity supply mid set to name but two!) they played a great set with good humour and no end of laughs. Their great music got people to their feet - dancing not leaving! Playing my personal favourite "Minnie the Moocher" was just the icing on the cake of a brilliant day!
